Siobhan and Sam’s gorgeous wedding took place at the historic Tithe Barn, near Petersfield Hampshire. This truly was a fantastic setting with the extensive barn surrounded by meadow land amidst the rolling South Downs. When I first met Siobhan and Sam they expressed how much they wanted their day to be fun and relaxed and for all their guests to really enjoy themselves – they certainly did that! Siobhan looked absolutely beautiful in a McKenna Blush dress by Leanne Marshall with a lace top overlay from Sabina Motasem. Her bridesmaids wore a mix of different peach and blue outfits and the Groom looked very dapper in his suit and Liberty Print Tie from TM Lewin.
The ceremony was set with festoon lighting, candles and the most amazing floral displays which dressed the barn perfectly. The marriage ceremony always brings a tear to my eye and this one was no exception. I loved the fact that Sam gave a celebratory cheer once they had exchanged their vows much to everyone’s amusement!
Luckily the rain held off so they were able to venture outside to the meadow for their canape and drinks reception. The fantastic surrounding countryside provided the perfect backdrop for some amazing wedding photos as taken by their superbly talented photographer Sophie Duckworth.
After a quick room turn around aided by the super efficient catering team, the main barn area was set for their wedding breakfast. Making their grand entrance into the room as a married couple they danced their way in to Blue Monday by New Order! What an entrance indeed! A mouthwatering dinner was served, accompanied by a wide selection of wines as specially selected by the Groom himself, whilst their Jazz Band played throughout the meal.
Then it was time for the speeches as announced by their MC who got everyone’s attention by literally smashing the glass! Much hilarity ensued throughout the speeches as many amusing stories were readily conveyed! The Bride’s friends had arranged a surprise for the Bride by making a guest book whereby their guests were to each sign a piece of fabric which would later to be made into a quilt for the Bride and Groom to keep. Such a fabulous idea and a lovely surprise! Their wedding cake was the creation of a family friend and it was wonderfully displayed on an old sewing machine table belonging to the Bride’s mother.
They took to the floor for their first dance which kicked off the rest of the evening entertainment as the party continued into the night. Late night munchies were even taken care of as they had a mobile Pizza Van rustling up delicious homemade pizzas in their wood fired pizza ovens.
Siobhan and Sam’s wedding day was filled with heartfelt emotion from start to finish and was a day I will always look back on with sheer pleasure!
